Welcome to our site!  A little about us first,  my wife Cindy and I owned Dancing Bearfoot a 2BR/2BA luxury log cabin located in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge near the Great Smoky Mountains.  Like many, we’ve come to the Smoky Mountains for vacations for many years and find the area magical.  We love to hike in the mountains, enjoying the wildflowers, waterfalls, panoramic views and occasional wildlife.

We sold the cabin in November 2021 and have started taking vacations again – owning a rental property while it sounds glamorous, it eats up a ton of your available vacation time. My blog which was mainly focused on the Smoky Mountains area will now branch off in different directions mainly traveling around the Midwest.
